1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Affirmly ("the App"), published by MobileByteSensei ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. What the App does

Affirmly provides personalised daily affirmations, a guided affirmation builder, personal and community categories, mood check-ins with trends, a gratitude journal, local reminders, themes and read-aloud.

Affirmly is a wellbeing companion, not a medical or therapeutic service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you are struggling, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

3. Accounts

You can use the App without an account. Signing in with Google or Apple is optional and enables sync across devices. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in account secure.

4. Your content

Affirmations, journal entries, categories and notes you create remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and sync them for you. Do not put content in the App that you do not have the right to use.

5. Free trial and subscription

• New users get a 14-day free trial with full access.
• After the trial, continued access requires a monthly or yearly subscription. Prices are shown in the App and on the store before you confirm.
• Subscriptions are processed by Google Play (Android) or Apple (iOS). They renew automatically until cancelled; cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge.
• Cancel any time in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Restore Purchases re-applies an active subscription on a new device signed into the same store account.
• There are no ads in the App.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the App except where such a restriction is prohibited by law; redistribute or resell the App or its content; circumvent the subscription mechanism; or use the App to break the law.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its interface, code, bundled affirmations, themes and sounds are owned by MobileByteSensei or its licensors. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control.

8. Third-party services

The App uses Google Firebase, Supabase, Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase and an AI model provider (through our server). Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what each receives.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees under your local law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the preceding twelve months, or the minimum permitted by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, where MobileByteSensei is based — except where consumer law entitles you to bring proceedings in your country of residence or under its law, in which case those rights are unaffected.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend access if you materially breach these Terms. Subscriptions remain governed by the store you bought them from.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms as the App changes. The "Last Updated" date will move, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
